Parenting Place, through its offering of online self-directed training courses and materials, aims to provide accessibility of training resources to our partner organisations. Training is designed to be modular, informative and engaging through bite-sized videos, illustrative footage, simple animations, downloadable PDFs, quizzes and intuitive markers for flexible and easy navigation.
Parenting Place's vision is that every parent in Aotearoa feels confident and every child more deeply loved.

As an organisation, our goal is to be the #1 trusted voice on parenting in Aotearoa and curators of the best, most relevant parenting information, delivered in ways that are accessible, practical and filled with hope.
Our training courses have been developed to reflect these values. We work with partners that share similar values and aspirations for whānau. Like other Parenting Place resources, our training courses cultivate practical expertise, drawing from best practice and the latest national and international research to underpin both our content and the way in which it is delivered.
As facilitators of Parenting Place courses, our expectation is that your tone, mission, values and delivery of course material aligns with ours.

Who is our audience?
Online self-guided training courses are intended for
  • Learners who are keen to certify as facilitators and deliver Parenting Place courses.
  • Facilitators who have been trained by us and are keen to refresh their training or upskill through professional development.

Course content ownership and copyright
All training course content has been developed and produced by Parenting Place with the required consents and permissions sought from contributors.
Course content and delivery is therefore owned by and hence the copyright of Parenting Place only (unless otherwise specified in writing or commissioned in writing).
Brand names and logos are trademarked by Parenting Place and therefore not available/permitted to be used by anyone/any entity other than Parenting Place (unless otherwise specified in writing).
Content may not be reproduced, edited or promoted without prior consent in writing. Content may not be used in other external programmes or courses without our prior consent in writing.

Training course booking policy
  • Only employees of partner organisations are eligible to complete Parenting Place training courses
  • Manager approval is required for training enrolment
  • All payments are invoiced to the partner organisation, on enrolment into training courses
